What’s your business, Melonie, and who are your customers?
I train and support staff who work with seniors affected by any of the memory loss diseases. I also train family members and family caregivers on best practices for caring for their loved ones.
What’s one business tip that you use in your business that you would like to share with our readers?
Be flexible. We are not cookie cutters but rather humans with emotion and limitation. Be kind to yourself and those around you and in all things use empathy as your guide.
Why did you decide that you were ready to join the Braver Together Mastermind and what would you say about it to those who are considering joining?
I decided to join so that I would have a network of similar minded women around me experiencing the ups and downs of business.
What’s one of the bravest things you have ever done in your life? It might not have anything to do with business.
There have been a few things in my life. I think the biggest brave was leaving the corporate world and plunging head first into being my own boss.
What is a BRAVE business challenge you have overcome or a pivot you have made that would could help inspire other women?
I have had to pivot a few times – when the industry changes I have learned to change with it. Accepting that change is good and necessary is huge.
